May 5, 2026 – Congratulations to Kendy Imrith, who has been awarded a 2026–2028 MD-MSc Research Scholarship for Medical Students from the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ).
The scholarship will support his research project entitled:
“Association between Hemoglobin Concentration and Neurological Recovery in Anemic Patients with Traumatic Brain Injury Admitted to the Intensive Care Unit: A Secondary Analysis of the International Multicentre HEMOTION Randomized Clinical Trial.”
This project aims to investigate the association between hemoglobin concentration and neurological recovery in patients with traumatic brain injury and anemia admitted to the intensive care unit, using data from the international multicentre HEMOTION clinical trial. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of transfusion practices in this vulnerable patient population and may help inform future critical care management strategies.
We warmly congratulate Kendy on this outstanding achievement and wish her every success in her research.
