Congratulations to Félix Côté, Kendy Imrith, Comlan Lucien Hountongbé, and Soualio Gnanou, recipients of research scholarships!

Desjardins Training Scholarships for Research and Innovation

On September 24, the CHU de Québec Foundation held its Evening for the Next Generation and Research Innovation, presented by Desjardins. On this occasion, 51 awardees were recognized, with a total of $332,500 in scholarships awarded.

Congratulations to the recipients of the Desjardins Scholarships from the CHU de Québec Foundation:

Master’s (MSc)

  • Félix Côté (Supervisor: Lynne Moore) – Interhospital transfers in trauma care: identifying gaps between guidelines and real-world practice in Canada.
  • Kendy Imrith (Supervisor: Alexis Turgeon) – Association between hemoglobin concentration and neurological recovery in anemic patients with traumatic brain injury admitted to intensive care: a secondary analysis of the international multicenter HEMOTION clinical trial.

Doctorate (PhD)

  • Comlan Lucien Hountongbé (Supervisor: Lynne Moore) – Optimizing interhospital transfers in Quebec’s trauma system: targeting low-value cases.

2025 SPPOS Axis Excellence Scholarships

As part of the 2025 Next Generation Scholarships Competition organized by the CHU de Québec Foundation, the SPPOS Axis evaluated applications aligned with its research themes and awarded SPPOS Axis Excellence Scholarships to particularly deserving candidates.

  • Soualio Gnanou (PhD level) for his work on The Economic Evaluation of Pediatric Trauma Centers in Quebec, under the supervision of Lynne Moore.
